About Us

Hi, I’m Tessa! My heart is in Early Childhood Education and I am so happy to watch these beautiful children grow every day. Another passion of mine is travel & learning about other cultures. I have had the great opportunity to teach in many settings and learn from many mentors. Global Kids Preschool is the realization of my dream to bring all of these ideas together to create a truly exceptional space for our kids.

My Education career started in Quito, Ecuador. Here I spent my days teaching the neighborhood children. I then taught in a Montessori Elementary school in Arizona and this opened my eyes to Child-Led Learning. My journey continued to Japan where I was introduced to the joy and excitement that comes with the Reggio Emilia approach. When I returned to the US I worked in the non-profit sector and this ignited my drive to ensure children from all backgrounds have access to excellent early education experiences. Then finally, when I became a mother, I opened Global Kids Preschool right here in Round Rock, Texas.

I have always held on to the values that children should be loved, respected and given the chance every day to play & explore. We prioritize relationships and interactions over test scores and worksheets. Childhood is a beautiful time of life that is meant to be enjoyed!

Over the past several years I have been so proud to see our school grow. I couldn’t do it alone and I am so thankful for our wonderful team of teachers who bring their hearts and hugs to school every day. This is such a happy place where I get to spend my days.

I can truly say that my dream has come true.
